Using High Pressure Coolant Systems from ChipBLASTER you can now break chips in the gummiest of materials. The ChipBLASTER unit using a combination of filtered high-pressure coolant focused at the chip/tool interface and changing the tool geometry and insert geometry, you can now break chips (as seen below) in 1008 material. Please find the following pictures of test cuts we ran at various depths of cut. These tests were performed on a Haas HL2 lathe.
Testing was done with an EV2000 High Pressure System using our 8155 nozzle.
